This Cuse game could be bad. If the team plays like it did in the first half, it won't be that bad. If it plays like it did in the second it will be pretty darn bad. If they actually play like a team, who knows.

This is a group of talented individuals who play like individuals and not a team.

More importantly, he's talking about the UConn MEN's team, right?

Seriously, though, a 50 point loss is not out of the question.

I don't think Boeheim would let his team do that just out of respect for Calhoun and Blaney. 30 points sure.

They could use some of the Husky women's three point shooting but it wouldn't help since no one on this team would be able to set a screen or find them when they are open.

And absolutely don't let your kids watch the game and risk them becoming Syracuse fans.
So, did you copy this from Facebook or ARE YOU THAT GUY from Facebook?

Maybe, maybe not....But seriously, don't let your kids watch the game. You know what is funny on Facebook? Amy Oriakhi battling fans that criticize AO for being soft. Didn't she learn her lesson with the mumu fiasco?

Oh yeah, this offense against a 2-3 zone on the road, coming off one of the ugliest losses in the last ten years and losing 5 of the last 6 with the only win against a Popeless Hall at home - total recipe for win. We have the Blaney factor and they don't, that's all that matters. Throwing the 401K on it.

Your track record is great mojo.

I will petition you for the Boatyard king.
The BOATYARD!!!

The odds of beating Cuse are about as good as the odds of Wolf starting...which after Drum's performance last night...never mind.

Syracuse travels very well everywhere especially for UConn. I'll have my ticket and be traveling to the Dome. Those with the resources or those who just love UConn hoops should contemplate getting the tickets left. Impose your will as fans and support the team especially Shabazz. He is a tough kid and will rebound from this slump. He was the perfect piece to last years ring.

I was thinking the same thing weeks ago. Let's see...if I drop this feather is this beaker of acid it's going to be juuuuuuuuust fine.

Now stranger things have happened, but unless this team goes through a complete makeover over the next few days SU's zone and transition hoops is going to make the UL game look like a close loss.

I hope I'm completely wrong and the team rediscovers itself. I've said all along they have E-8 talent (ugh...I think I posted F-4 talent before) but are playing like a bubble team. No one would love to eat some crow Saturday afternoon more than I would. I hope that's the case.

Scoop Jardine has kids who are older than Boatright.

This one will be trouble.

This team is still on vacation from last year's Nat'l Championship... The desire to work HARD for 40 minutes is NOT there... Kemba willed them to the championship... The Boat Show WILL be awesome in the coming years, but dude is a frosh... with that are growing pains especially at the PG position.. Bazz took a step back this year... teams opposing PG's in the Big East a literally bullying him on the court... that coupled along with his confidence being down doesn't bode well for him.. He's gotta fight thru it... Hopefully he can get turned around at the right time, these last few weeks are crucial...

I can truly say something that I never thought I'd say before the season, which is that I'd be completely shocked if UConn were to win this game. We don't even have the "Don't bet against JC" thing going for us in this game with Blaney on the sidelines. Granted, we did beat Texas with Blaney on the sidelines in 09-10, and we did play Syracuse neck and neck when they were in the top five. But still, this team just doesn't score enough to win a road game against one of the best three teams in the country.

If this season has been any indication, the game will go like this:

First half-UConn gets up for a rivalry game against the #3 team in the country, understanding that this is the game that they need to win if they want to get back on the map. Napier plays tough D, Oriakhi, Smith, and Lamb crash the boards, and Drummond tries to dunk everything. Still, UConn struggles to score, Cuse matches the energy and takes a seven point lead into the half.

Second half part one-Syracuse comes storming out of the gates, UConn experiences their usual second half slump, and the lead suddenly mounts to thirteen.

Second half part two-UConn becomes frustrated by their inability to crack the Syracuse zone or make open jump shots, things come unglued, shoulders begin to sag, and the blowout is on.

I hate this team.

Thats how college basketball works. EOM
I agree, beating Cuse is just the type of oddball thing this team may do. They have the talent they just aren't showing much confidence right now As Jibsey posted, they are tentative.

I'm not intentionally trying to be a contrarian with this post. Syracuse in my opinion is the most susceptible of top ranked teams to going down regardless of venue. I will be pulling for Cuse against Georgetown setting up the Saturday showdown with our Huskies. Let them relish in the glory of the Gtown win on Thursday and get ready for UConn on Friday. I admittedly am not the biggest Kevin Ollie supporter (for next head coach) but his fingerprints will be all over this game despite his designated title. He has something to prove and I respect him enough to know he is busting his as we chat. Regardless of what others say Ollie is next in line for the head coaching job. His resume will not look stellar with back to back beat downs under his watch. Kevin Ollie is a fighter and I believe he must deliver the goods during this week of practice. I think he will.

I can tell you how I would shred the Cuse 2-3 using the pin and skip ect ect...but it may be an excersise in futility to try. I love this team and never loved the coach. I always respected his accomplishments though. I don't love the athletic department and how it's constructed at the moment. Once again I do love this team including Shabazz.

Let's travel (fans included) to Syracuse and simply win the game. We wil break out the victory dance on Saturday.

We need to start implementing some basic Tom Izzo strategies to beat the zone. We have better personnel to make it happen. We could have 1 of the better 1-3-1 zone offenses in the country. Our go to guy JL has already proven what he can do on the biggest of stages. It will happen again.

I don't want that designation. What I want is New Orleans. Also the concern is certainly understandable with this team. Having said that this marathon is FAR from over.

With regards to the receipt. I would have to get a runner to wager the 5k legitimately and Vegas won't take my action especially on a money line. I have beat Vegas on Futures bets 9 times for the National Champion. Granted my prediction is bold.

Have a good 1 bro.

This is for the dog asking for more bacon. I was wrong. Maybe I can still throw you a bone sometime this year. If you don't accept my bone I certainly understand. Look my prognostications are seriously in big trouble. However I have to stick with them despite the punch in the face today with 3 of my final 4 teams. I have UConn, North Carolina, Baylor and Alabama in my Final 4.

Baylor and UConn continue to get waxed and Alabama just suspended indefinitely basically the whole starting 5 for conduct detrimental to the team. It's safe to say my picks are looking bleak! I'm sticking with all 4!

Hopefully everyone didn't play this game other than me. I did place a losing wager on this 1. Despite my loss I still say we right the ship some how some way. I was at the game today so did my best to support the team. Thanks to everyone else who did the same. So just stopped by to eat some crow! :)
