UConn vs Yale - 1/7/17 - 3:05pm

I should be there. Yale fans think UConn is becoming the #1 program in the state now and are pleased UConn is representing well enough so far.

Now Penn State....

Just bought some $12 tickets, there wasn't much left beyond some scattered singles and a couple rows w 3 tickets left. Game looks to be sold out.

Looks like only 130 or so seats left in lower bowl. I know not to trust the green dots, but they're only 2x groups of 3 left and the rest singles.

They haven't opened the upper bowl to tickets sales online at ALL this entire season. They should at least open it up soon though. Some casuals may give up if they want to bring more than 3 people.

I noticed when looking at the 2x promotional ticket giveaway to football season ticket holders or athletic donors, they had a decent chunk of rows in upper bowl on Yale side sold

Make sure to use Promo ticket:
HUSKYHOCKEY for $12 tickets.

$17 ticket w/ fees is WAY better than $32

$32 is the reason attendance is falling off. That's almost bball prices !! HE ticket prices may average 30 or so, but at least have a winning season before raising tickets prices like this.

Why not just go through the box office and avoid the fees? Or scalp? But agreed that's ridiculous, people will just laugh and not go. It's like they're trying to suppress attendance with those prices.

Where is the $32 coming from?

$25 w/ fee w/o promo. Aimed @ Yale fans.

Guys those fee's may be the facility upgrade fee's that the BOT agreed to add to ticket prices.

$32? You have to be kidding me. North Dakota@Union standing right next to the ice was $20 purchased online. Standing room at Union is awesome. Old school.

Upper bowl seats now available for $12 ($19 w/ fees)

They opened some more in lower for
$12 ($17 w/ fees and promo code)

The World Juniors ends Thursday. Will Tage and Adam be back suited up for the game versus Yale Saturday?

.-.
I would be shocked if either Huska or Thompson dress for the Yale game. Cavanaugh will rest them so they are ready for the conference next HE conference game.

There's a good chance that Huska may be available on Saturday with Slovakia's exit from the tournament. Although he saw a ridiculous number of shots, he was in goal for only 3 of 5 games for Slovakia. Thompson, on the other hand, still has two more games to play. After Yale, the Huskies don't play again until Thursday, 1/12 vs Maine in Bridgeport.

Unless he's dinged up I would play Thompson. He'll probably be in the best shape of any player on the ice after the break. When a sharpshooter is hot, you don't sit him IMHO.

Give the kid a break in a non conference game.

If I were Cav, I'd be tempted to dress him and use him mostly on the power play.

I got 2 free tix to this game (UConn/Yale 1/7/17) for renewing my football season tickets. I can't make the game unfortunately, so if one of you guys could use them, I'll forward the email that has the tickets for you to print.

I'll take them if you still have em.

This is a huge game in order to start drawing more people to games.

UConn has only won 3 home games all season and 2 were against Alabama-Huntsville in front of an empty building at the beginning of the season.

In terms of developing a larger following, these types of home games with decent size crowds carry a lot more importance.

It's an important non conference game....we need to own Connecticut College hockey and losses to Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart make this one crucial.

Will have to open 239, 240, and 241 soon. 120 or so left in lower and 80 or so left in the first 8 rows of upper bowl. 1 UConn upper is already sold out.

Weird, BC game was a sellout and 8,089. I guess now it's 9k. They will have to start selling the bottom rows of 200s for the walk-up crowd.

I hope they keep people posted about tix remaining closer to the start of the game. I feel bad for the people that paid to park and couldn't get in to the BC game.

If anyone wants 2 tickets, PM me. I have hockey ST and I want an excuse to renew and upgrade to a preferred ST for football next year (prior top of rent) and I won't have use for the 2 free hockey tix. Haven't put deposit down yet but will if someone grabs the 2.

I want sat to be sold out and loud. Let me know if anyone wants two free ones.

Here's a legitimate question: How much will tomorrow's attendance be boosted by the 2 giveaway's to football season ticket holders?
Review:
e-mail of a couple of weeks ago allowing season ticket holders to pick 2 tix to 1 of 6 events-2 men's hoops games, 2 women's hoop games, 2 men's hockey games (of which the Yale game was 1-Merrimack was the other)
reward to $ 100.00 down payment on next season's football season ticket renewal
One could theoretically get 4 free tickets to tomorrow's game
I printed out 2 from the down payment promotion (can't go as I have to work tomorrow-gave them to members of my tailgate crew-will be used) The game I chose from the season ticket reward promotion was the Merrimack game on Feb. 4th.-WILL attend.
Looks like tomorrow should break UConn's home game attendance record if ticket availability is any indication

Considering last season's football attendance, I would estimate at about 300 tickets haha

Tickets are goin quick. Just put my football ST deposit down and the last 2 rows of upper bowl are pretty much all that's left.

They just opened the 1st 5 rows of the lower 200's on the sides.

Earlier in the week, they were at 5,000 tickets accounted for. Now, maybe you really think they sold 4,000 tickets in 48 hours, but chances are...its the giveaways.
