I'm enjoying this game - Stef and Tiff have not played this well for a long time. Doty with some great blocks and effort. USF has talent on offense and they're not a pushover. That girl who burned Kelly on the behind the back layup made me think of Moriah next year!
 
We've gotten the benefit from a couple of calls today where they really should have been no calls, both players going for the ball. Earlier, CDoty ran into their player after both were going for the ball and really initiated the contact, IMO should have been a no-call but we got the foul call thre also.
 
Jose blew one gasket; is now working on his second.

I'm a loyal Husky fan but...USF is getting some really bad calls.

Yes, they are. The only thing I saw was the USF players was flopping before contact but that usually is a no call.
 
apparently if the refs were calling the game correctly it would be a much closer game. what's wrong with UCONN today?

USF is playing really well and UConn, not so much.

It starts with 2-16 from 3pt range, but on the other end, USF guards are surehanded and aggressive. Throw in the Ukranian Bomber and they have some threats.
 
What a strange game. How can you shoot lights out in the Carrier Dome and make nothing at home???

Tiffany is playing with a sense of urgency and channeling her inner Maya. Looking for back-to-back games of 30+.
 
Tough to get called for and illegal screen on a pick and roll.
 
USF guards continuing to play aggressively on the dribble penetration, getting to the line (Stef needs to keep some space)

At the risk of incurring TJI's wrath - these refs are awful. And I say this while acknowledging UConn's gotten more calls than USF.
 
This is easily the worst basketball game I have watched in several years. Just appalling on every level. And I have great seats.
