Feed the post - I saw Banks doing that in the last game, and they are really sending them down this game....it's fun to watch
 
USF getting fatiged so Geno is bringing in Brianna, hopefully to speed up the game. Kiah and CD coming back in too.
 
Team looks really flat & out of sync today.
 
Brianna will run them into the ground......If they are this tired before the end of the half, how ever are they going to make it through the second half?

USF has got a lot of quickness and they seem to be sagging to make our motion/backcut offense more difficult. It's more of a in/out offense today

Well, their 6'4" Ukranian is shooting 3's like a top 5 player and they are running her off some pretty effective screens. It's funny how that can affect the game score.... :oops:
 
i gotta admit i expected UCONN to roll over USF. they are 12-9 this year. i could see if we were playing like this vs. a 15-5 WVU team, but yikes!!

USF was gassed, I dont understand why UConn didn't press them. They appeared to allow USF to set the pace in the last minutes.
 
How many minutes did Kelly get in the half?

Any mention of injury or foul trouble?

Maybe because a few of the UConn players were gassed too as Geno made some subs during the next stoppage in play. Also, USF was breaking the press and hitting 3-pointers which is why he pulled back on the press in the first place.

Sloppy Game by Bria and Caroline is not playing well either.
 
USF is still only hitting 33% of its shots and UConn is out-rebounding the bulls 23-10. The big issues are UConn turnovers and USF making six 3-pointers while UConn is shooting 2-10 from beyond the arc.

The defense needs to get out on the player from the Ukraine and force USF to make 2-point shots which it is hitting at a 25% pace in the game. Also, of course, Bria and Tiff need to stop turning the ball over.

Geno made the adjustment to have a guard shadowing her close all over the court, but they have also been effective running her off some good screens, and she is 6'4" so unless someone helps or you can get through the screen and get up in the air fast, it's very hard to stop this girl.

Very tall player [6'4"] + with excellent mobility + uncanny shooting ability + effective screens = difficult defensive task

The turnovers (Tiff 5 , Bria 3) are definitely hurting.
