Top 5th, Tom Ellisen comes in to pitch. No doubt saving Coe for some work during the weekend series against Rutgers.
 
Wow…those Adirondack chairs look like a great way to watch a game.
 
Top 5th, Ellisen gives up a leadoff double and a 2 out walk, a 2 out rbi single brings in a run, 5-1 UConn going to the bottom of the inning. Ellisen does get 2 strikeouts that inning.

Bottom 5th, Smith with 2 out rbi infield single after Daniels had singled with 2 outs, and had advanced to 3B on a stolen base and a wild pitch, 6-1 UConn. Freeberger doubles to put 2 runners in scoring position, but they are left on base.

Top 6th, Abbadessa gives up back to back doubles with 2 outs bringing in a run, 6-2 UConn. Outfield error on Morton brings in another run, 6-3 UConn going to the bottom of the inning.
 
Phew…let’s get em back. And let my comment be a lesson to us all...there is a time and a place for everything.

Bottom 6th, UConn offense with a scoreless inning. 6-3 UConn. Will Nowak coming in to pitch for the Huskies.

Top 8th, after getting the first out, Nowak comes out of the game, Fogell coming in to face some lefty hitters that are coming up.

Fogell gets 2 outs to end the inning, 7-3 UConn.
 
Bullpen continues to avoid walks and force a mediocre offense to string hits together. It is working.

Offense hasn’t been awful but we have stranded many runners.
 
Bottom 8th, UConn offense with a scoreless inning after a baserunner was eliminated on a double play. 7-3 UConn.

Top 9th, Devin Kirby takes the mound.
 
I have to say I’m enjoying the UConn + broadcast. The camera angles and the broadcasting is all pretty solid.
