Potential skill position recruits aren't going to be blown away by our offense. It's like watching paint dry.

But next year, Shirreffs is back and everyone is a year older. We won't look like this in September 2016.
Agree, but we also need solid #2. A 2nd concussion to BS and he's out for good. TB is obviously not our #2. All you have to do is watch the Temple D key on Arkeel to know they don't respect TB's arm or legs at all. QB #2 has to be GA or TD.

How many QB will we have next year? Until NOI day, I see we have 3 unofficially coming in?

Anderson doesn't have the timing down with the receivers the way Boyle does(LOL like we'll ever see slants and play action passes on first down). What he does possess is a scrambling mentality that Boyle doesn't have. Unfortunately to beat Temple the QB needs both(Boo Hoo No Sherriffs). So.... can Verducci call up short passing plays or screens on first down and maybe a option on second? Temple is loading the box so much that there must be an over the top play they can come up with to get the Owl D to back off.

If we are going to stick with Boyle, and that's a big "if", then please for the love of God let the kid operate from the shotgun. Under center, he even kills our ability to run the ball! And oh yeah, the false start on the QB wasn't special either.

The kid has a nice arm, but get him in the gun and give him the extra time to think. Run the backs out of the draw, or get them moving with a screen. Shotgun for Boyle, please...

Anderson plays like Bryant so keep him in. What do we have to lose? Need to play to win here, not to keep it close.

You make too much sense. Cut it out.

That being said, if they keep up with this QB shuffle farce, or let Boyle play out the second half, that just shows you they're content with letting this game slip away. Makes no sense why they wouldn't just keep Anderson in with nothing to lose. Our running game has been shut down and Temple has nothing to be afraid of from Boyle; nor should they be. At least Anderson is more capable of keeping their defense off balance.

.-.
I guess nobody realizes this is Andersen 's first year with the team and that he was recently converted to FB. Not that he can't do it he just doesn't have the reps.

In no competitive world can Tim Boyle be our #2 in 2016. That has to be Tyler Davis or a JUCO. We can't move the ball with him at QB and that's the most important characteristic of a QB.

Put in Anderson for the entire 2nd half and run read-option plays like we do with Sheriffs. At least we are used to the blocking schemes involved with those plays.

Believe it or not (and I hardly believe it myself), this is still a winnable game. But we're going to need an offense that can move the ball. That means no Boyle. Take away his helmet, lace up a pair of cement shoes and hand him a clipboard and headset. Read-option Anderson and mix in a little wildcat and hope the defense will continue to battle.

I'm holding out hope for Davis next year. Have any of you seen a recent picture of him? He is beyond cut. Balis worked some magic with that kid.

edit: This is from just August...

I think we've put a lot of good ideas on the table - another problem solved.

Go Get Em Boys!

24 to 32 plays Close Make some adjustments Let the kid loose He is a teamate

At least the announcers are praising Temple's D and not mocking our offense. We know we're bad; we don't need salt rubbed in the wounds.

My heart literally dropped when I saw Boyle under center.

...It's still dropping.

So it's basically up to the defense and special teams to put points on the board....i
