I decided to check up on Uconn vs. Rutgers in all head to head sports. Going back to last Fall Uconn is 9-0 heading into tomorrow nights game. By my count Uconn has outscored RU 287-189.

And none of that matters: because they're perceived to be a big-market (NJ/NYC) team, they get a B1G invite.

I would rather be a perennial NCAA tournament team in the AAC then a cellar dweller in the Big 10, so I would say on field success matters a lot.

Beating Rutgers always matters. Beating everyone matters.

Hey regardless of the reasons, I'm totally jealous of that. We can laugh at them all we want, but they will be getting the last laugh from their great new conference while we are stuck in the AAC for the foreseeable future. UCF was a big surprise on the football side this year, but I'm not confident the new league will develop a real football "presence" any time soon.

Rutgers can become a force if they ever can get the proper people to run their sports programs. Right now , from the AD down, they have poor quality people running their ship.
The AD is a joke. The football coach has 1 year left. That's why so many de commits. Hoops wise, Eddy Jordan was a big deal there 40 years ago. It remains to be seen he he can get them going. Ms. Stringer probably has seen her better days.
Someday the bell will ring is Piscataway. but in the B1G, it'll take them 10 years to get up to snuff.
