UCONN vs. Ohio State Game - 3 Things You Would Want To See

1. Beat the press
2. Defend the 3, especially Mikesell
3. No injuries - moving on!

If she gets significant minutes, it means we’ve broken their press, dominated the paint, cleaned the glass, lit it up from 3, so that Inês can run them into the ground in the final quarter.
 
1. Limit turnover (their press)
2. Great defensive energy and communication (would limit their press' effectiveness)
3. Greater patience offensively
 
1) we control the pace/flow of game at both ends, NM keeps her double digit assist run going
2) we dominate the boards, shots taken and shooting percentage
3) every body eats, chest bumps and all smiles at the final buzzer
 
I never really stopped to think about it... but is there any particular reason that Dorka left Ohio State to come to UCONN? Is there something there that we should be watching for in the background? Does she keep up with her former teammates, are her former teammates still there or did they transfer out as well? Just curious.

Madison Green and Rikki Harris are the only remaining players at Ohio State who played with Dorka Juhasz during Dorka's Junior Year at Ohio State University. As far as why Dorka transferred, I believe (not 100% certain) that she had completed her 4 Year Degree in 3 Years Time, and was looking for a New Opportunity at a different program and UCONN apparently fit her needs very well.
 
Janelle Crooms was a friend of hers from tOSU who transferred at the same time. They are still on good terms, as I understand it.

As for why she left when she could have just stayed there for a 4th year, I think she wanted something more than that program could give her, whether in terms at a shot at an NC or just better team culture, or more probably a mix of both.

3. Executed the game plan
 
1. Azzi, Caroline, and Lou hit 20 threes.
2. Aaliyah, Aubrey, and Dorka control the paint & boards.
3. Nika distributes 15+ assists.
3a. No Injuries and the bench plays the 4th quarter.

1) No foul trouble for Edwards.

2) Pre-injury percentage of 3 point makes for Fudd.


If you get #1 and #2, they are a lock.
 
I would love to a see a 360 Tomahawk Slam Dunk by either Dorka or Aubrey. Extra bonus points if it is Aubrey.
I would like to see 15 three pointers
and I would like to see Nika with 10+ assist again... Maybe an NCAA for assist in a single game....
 
1. Every shooter rush for her own REBOUND.
2. Play more big girls - get practice and experience for facing UPCOMING opponents BIG posts
3. Limit UNFORCED T/O.
 
1). Break the press and get good looks before tOSU gets set in the half court

2). Everyone shoots well, especially Azzi, Lou, and Caroline

3). No injuries and a big win

Okay, I need four:

4). Dorka has a 15+ point double double
 
1 Limit turnovers... this is the biggest risk to a loss
2. Own the paint
3 Shoot like it's a layup drill
