UConn vs. Mizzou game thread

I gotta wonder what the likelihood that Missouri scores more than 70 before it’s all over. Think 70 was a record. Another record could happen tonight.

D should just attack. What do we have to lose?! Wonder how we r act 2nd half?
 
The bottom line is that our defense is not ready to stop an air attack type defense. Look at the past two teams we played. Temple and Tulsa are both run heavy offenses and we had success there. All the other t ams like to throw, a lot! We can’t stop the pass, period.

There are obvious potential problems and we'd see them happen, but we've got to do something. Their QB is 23-29 and headed for 500 yards.
 
I feel like our offense has become stagnant the past few games. I don’t know if it was because we had ZERO offense the past few seasons so the first couple of games made us think we had this all set with Lashlee or what, but those past few games our offense hasn’t looked like anything special.
 
Looked like a catch to me.

Not sure how much of this has been on BS but maybe they consider putting in Pindell at some point in the second half if this game gets even more out of hand
 
About time they called that hold. Damn. Took way too long for the ref to throw the flag. What exactly is holding in the SEC?
 
Does anyone remember more times that a UConn QB has been sacked. Is the offensive line just frightened of the Missouri team?
 
We don't get many opportunities like this. It's sad to see this happen.

I still believe it will be better in two or three years.

well that was an early record against us.... usually those don't come until late in the 3rd quarter. Now we just need a guaranteed Sherriffs INT and this game is complete

Surprised you haven't blamed our poor performance on Shirreffs (by the way, have some goddamned respect and spell his name correctly) being a transfer.
 
I’m not surprised we’re losing. I am surprised that we’re not even a blade of grass hindering their offensive progress.

I’d be in favoring of lifting Sherriffs early in the second half. The game is pointless, he’s exhausted and he’s going to get hurt.

Gotta take care of him.

That's awesome. Abbreviate so you don't misspell it, but misspell the abbreviation. I kid, I kid. Just looking for anything to avoid talking about the game.
 
Hopefully defense can adjust second half, secondary is horrific covering guys
 
I feel like the only time an opposing QB doesn't take the easy wide open 5-10 yard come backs is out of simple boredom - because why else would you ever even bother not taking what UConn is basically giving to them? Can't win when it's that easy for the opposing QB. Can't do it.
 
Nothing mysterious going on. They are giving 10 yard cushions all day and don't get their heads around on passes. D is an absolute mess and it shows even more against better athletes. Very disappointing performance. No intensity.
