1-1 at end of regulation...they had some quality shots on a PP near the end of the 3rd...on to OT
 
Ends in a 1-1 tie..they take 3 out of 4 points on the trip up to Orono.
 
I'll take 3 Pts up there. Everybody show up to the Hartford Civic Center (not the XL) for whalers night. UConn vs UVM. Friday 1/22 @ 8:30. Will be on NESN. We need a huge crowd! Wear whaler gear for a $8 ticket. Take fast trak and show slip for a $12 ticket.

On Saturday, another throwback of a game of MBB vs Georgetown @ noon then off to see UConn play BC @ 7. Great UConn weekend.

The Huskies will return to their home ice at the XL Center for the first time since December 11thwhen they play host to the University of Vermont on Friday night, January 22nd. The puck will drop at 8:30 pm and the game is slated to be televised on the American Sports Network and locally on NESN and SNY.

Letunov looks way ahead skill wise. Besides the power play goal, he always seemed to be playing at a different skill level. Outside of Nichols, nobody else really stood out to me. Lots of giveaways on D.
 
Recap of weekend - We were fortunate to get 3 out of 4 points while only scoring 2 goals total during the whole weekend - Thank you Rob Nichols who had to endure multiple breakaways, grade a scoring chances, being run over in the net etc.... If the defense plays passive next weekend like they did against Maine unfortunately you will not see the same positive results.

Nichols looked much more like last year's Nichols than he did earlier in the season. I'd say this team owes him. Friday looked like Providence of a couple of years ago when Grogan stopped around 50.
