Quick thoughts (won't go into a lot of details on the game)
1) Daniels out for the year will have hip surgery - As I said last week this is the right move and get ready for fall ball. Also think stepping away from the game a bit will help him. Get it done rather than playing less than 100% and hoping it gets better.
2) #1 above should provide assurance and be a plus for Padilla knowing he will play every day now. Tough not knowing if you'll be in lineup.
3) Cinnela threw well and stabilized the game
4) Malcom looks to be firmly on the bench
5) Any win is a good win based on where they are. But need to see the offense open up against Xavier this weekend. They're 14-14 but did beat Louisville, LSU, and Indiana St. So it will be a good league test.
7) Might go the Friday and Sunday games this weekend. Saturday is tough because need to be ready for the hoops. Even though playing the late game don't want to be rushing around Saturday. But let's see.

One thing I miss are the post game interviews that Chris Jones did with Coach Penders. I was expecting the interview to return when UConn baseball got a win, but it doesn't seem to be the case after this game.
