I was watching the sub patterns from Geno a bit - i was glad to see him pull Banks early for KML, but then glad to see him pull Hartley and am glad to see Banks back in. It's not like Banks played horribly early on, but it was clear he wanted KML in there when we were struggling. It's also clear he really trusts Tuck.

Hope to see KML get untracked now too. Good for her!!

Comfortable 20 point lead at the half. Bria trying to do to much playing in front of family and friends or is it playing in MSG. Moriah settled down quickly after her rocky start and is the only guard that's playing at UConn level.

Geno wanted Stewie to dominate for 40 minutes. She's the best player on the floor, the best I've seen this year. More versatility than Chiney or Odyssey.

ESPN has UCONN with 11 assists, 11 turnovers. Hopefully Geno can fix that at half. Gotta get KML going and get Dolson on the floor (offense usually looks better with her on the floor). And then what's up with Hartley??? Way off today, so far.

Some random halftime observations from MSG:

Caroline is at the game and delivered embraces to all the UConn coaches before the tipoff.

Geno was steamed at Morgan after her first shift on the court and was in her face when she came off.

Stewie is trying to make us say, "Diana WHO??" In this game.

Cal is sensibly guarding KML -- guess they watched the Duke game. At the end of the half, they got her open for one 3 which she made, but for the most part she has been limited to short attempts in the paint.

UConn isn't generating much in-the-paint offense except from Stewie. That has produced a few more 3's from shooters other than KML than I think Geno is comfortable with.

As much as I love Sims, and as good as CO is, Stewart is a cut above. POY may go to a senior, but Stewart is my POY. Damn she's good!!!
