Bottom 4th, Chris Brown with a double, and with 1 out a Bushling triple brings in the run to make it 7-0.

Ferrer with a 2 out rbi double to make it 8-0 UConn in the bottom of the 4th. Pitching change for Bucknell.

Bottom 6th, UConn goes down in order.

On the big plus side, the game continues to move along quite well in terms of time. 1.5 hours for 6 innings is not bad at all these days.

Chris Jones talking about UConn Big East games being made up during the midweek. He is not sure if it will happen or not.

Top 7th, Casparius gives up the first hit off him on the game. It comes after a HBP and a walk to load the bases with no out. Dunlop warming in the pen. A one out single brings in a run and leaves the bases loaded. 9-1 UConn.

All three outs that inning were on strikeouts. 9-1 UConn, Casparius with 14 strikeouts on the game.

Bottom 7th, scoreless inning for the UConn offense. 9-1 Huskies.

Colby Dunlop in to pitch the top of the 8th. With a big lead, an opportunity to get guys like Dunlop and the younger guys some game time on the mound and give the main bullpen guys a rest. Also Devenney is now catching in place of Pat Winkel, definitely good to see him back.

Dunlop gets the first two batters out, then a batter reaches on a Bushling error. With a lefty batter up, the left hander O'Donnell is entering the game to pitch. O'Donnell gets the final out of the inning. 9-1 UConn.

Bottom 8th, lots of traffic on the bases, but no additional runs for UConn.

McBride on the mound for UConn to start the top of the 9th. Lefty Garrett Coe warming in the pen.

Coach Penders has an interesting comment about Ben Maycock, who got the spot start for the suspended Erik Stock. The best practice player Penders has ever had, he works so hard, and always goes all out. No one works harder. As for Pat Winkel, having Devenney back available to catch really helps take the pressure off of Pat.

What’s the attendance policy? Any changes recently or do you still need to be on a list?

They were when I attended the Georgetown game a few weeks back. I’d be prepared and then be pleasantly surprised if not...
I was on the berm for the Saturday Georgetown game and masks were required. There was an older guy walking around making sure that masks were worn. He warned a few students next to me who removed their masks they would be asked to leave if they did not have their masks on the next time he checked.

I don’t see ticketing options for this weekend or future games on the site anymore.

This is what’s posted.
  • Before heading to Elliot Ballpark or Burrill Family Field, please check UConnHuskies.com for schedule changes and updates
  • Masks are required
  • Seating is General Admission and first-come, first served.
  • Gates open 1 hour prior to first pitch
  • Upon arrival, check-in at the ticket booth located closest to Freitas Ice Forum
  • When selecting Doubleheaders, one admission will be valid for both games
  • Parking is free in "I" Lot which is located at Freitas Ice Forum
  • Restrooms are available
  • Concessions are not open, however you may bring personal snacks and bottled water/soda
  • If you choose to sit on the berm at either facility, lawn chairs are permitted
