Erik Stock had an interesting time during the Xavier series, having to play the infield late in one of the games, and then getting thrown out of the last game by one of the umpires. Since he was tossed from the last game, Stock probably cannot play in this one. Hopefully it is only a one game suspension. Ben Maycock gets the start in the outfield in his place. Hopefully we'll also find out during the broadcast how close TC Simmons is in coming back from his injury.
 
Top 1st, a scoreless inning for Casparius with the aide of a double play ball after walking the leadoff hitter.
 
Hmmmm... guess CJ has been told not to throw gas on the BU travel/schedule issues. Figure there had to be more than what BU player’s parents have been making noise about.

Chris Jones confirms that Maycock gets the start today due to the suspension of Erik Stock due to getting thrown out of the last game.

Top 3rd, Casparius strikes out the side again. 7 strikeouts on the game, and 40 pitches.
 
Bottom 3rd, Pat Winkel with a 2 out solo homer to make it 5-0 UConn.

45 minutes to play the first 3 innings. Not bad at all.

Bottom 4th, Chris Winkel with a solo homer of his own to lead off the inning. 6-0 UConn.
 
Bottom 4th, Chris Brown with a double, and with 1 out a Bushling triple brings in the run to make it 7-0.
 
Ferrer with a 2 out rbi double to make it 8-0 UConn in the bottom of the 4th. Pitching change for Bucknell.
