OT: UConn Volleyball in Great 8 of NVIT

The NVIT is volleyball's version of basketball's NIT. The NCAA tourney only plays 16 teams so the NVIT was set up for additional teams that had successful seasons, like our 26-7 Huskies.

UCONN has so many teams that are really good in other sports - the most random is women's polo (horse, not water) where they have won several NC's. LOVE seeing all the other non-hoops teams doing well (also special shout out to the men's football team this season - praying they continue to do well!!)...

25+ wins and a run in the NIVC is a really good outcome for a team that won only 8 matches last year. The coach is doing good things.

Some strong pieces from this team should be returning next year, including the libero and Big East co-FOY McKenna Brand (whom I saw play in high school and so I'm partial to). An NCAA tournament bid should be the goal in 2025. Hopefully the coach is upgrading the OOC schedule because that ended up hurting UConn's chances of being in the at-large conversation this season.
