-> The Huskies come into the weekend with some momentum on the diamond after winning three-of-four at Arizona last weekend in Tucson, Ariz. However, the Huskies are fighting through injuries with Tyler Minick, Connor Lane, Evan Menzel, Rob Rispoli and Anthony Belisario all dealing with injuries. <-

Looks like they put turf down on their field. Almost looks identical to whats at Elliot. View attachment 117511

Yup… seems they have two Brooks Field pages on the UNCW site. Thanks for the catch.

“ The designs were done by CHA Consulting, based out of Albany, N.Y. with several offices throughout North Carolina, which has designed collegiate facilities at Boston College (Harrington Athletic Village), NC State, UConn, and Delaware among other schools.”

Wow, a bunch of injuries, all these have had at least some time in the starting lineup this season so far.

The one good thing about the 3 hour delay in the start of the game today is that my dinner tonight will not be responsible for interfering with my inning by inning posting about the game.

That is a problem that I potentially have when games start between 4pm and 6pm.

The one bad thing about the 3 hour delay is that now I probably will not be able watch the UConn men's hockey game tonight on NESN as I will be paying so much attention to the baseball game.
