Gillette is a big, dumb place with no juice when the crowd is small. Maybe that it's Black Friday will help the juice factor.
What NFL venue has juice when the crowd is small?

Any news or rumors beyond DiMauro? This is frustrating

wherever this is going to be played at, getting a second win in a row against an FCS program isn't too bad

FBS. Bad FBS, but FBS nonetheless.

Very interesting, I wonder what happened behind the scene to lead to this? Does UConn get a return trip added onto the backend of the agreement?

A few weeks ago at an alumni event, a UConn Foundation organizer announced the game would be played at Gillette.

Accepting that 22,000 people (if lucky) attending a game in Gillette Stadium made zero sense.

Agreed. Far closer for most UConn fans, and there will be enough tickets for any UConn fans who want to go. Plus, if the game is competitive there will be far more juice with 20k fans in one small stadium thank if lucky the same amount in a larger one.
Doubtful this game will attract 20k. UMASS students will be home for Thanksgiving.

But, but, but with a little artificial intelligence they could make it look like 65,878. ;)
Gillette, McGuirk or Rentschler , it does not matter fans can sit wherever we want. Now if the Mora mojo continues a return home game for us next year could be a different story.

Good - at that point we'll be playing for a better bowl game (as opposed to hoping for a bowl like this past season), so we should do a stadium takeover and watch the Huskies absolutely destroy the Minutemen. Nothing better than steamrolling them with UConn chants aplenty!!!

Does the author realize or care how far the end zones would be from the two ends of the stadium? That you can't expand a football field to utilize the size of a NASCAR infield? That the reason it worked in Bristol, if it did, is because that's the smallest track NASCAR races on?

If size wasn't an issue (yeah, I know) - might be kinda cool one off if it was first couple of weeks of the seasons, not Loudon New Hampshire (beautiful, so no slight intended) the day or so after Thanksgiving.
