This sets up their pitching nicely for midweek games against Rutgers and Rhode Island. I would think that Gabe would be in the mix.

Wow! 44 runs on 54 hits (if my quick math is right). UConn scored at least one run in 17 of the 26 innings, and in 14 of those 17 innings they put up crooked numbers.

-> St. John's and UConn will meet for the 130th time in the all-time series when this weekend's set kicks off on Friday afternoon. The Huskies hold a 67-62 all-time advantage over the Red Storm, but the Johnnies hold a slim 32-28 edge in Queens. <-

^Even slimmer edge in Queens now^:

That was a magical team filled with MLB talent like Springer, Ahmed and Barnes.
Talent wise the 2010 team may have been better than 2011. In 2010 we also had those guys plus Olt, Lepage and a healthy Oberg that year. Granted all the guys in 2011 had an extra year under their belt. Either way, those were two good teams :)

Looks like the best teams left RPI wise are:
Northeastern at 34
Rhode Island at 89
Rutgers at 104

I'll never forget the sound of the ball coming off Olt's bat against CCSU in the regionals in Norwich in 2010. Nothing like it. Olt hit two homeruns and had 8 RBI in that afternoon game when they demolished CCSU.

The same team that ended the 22 game win streak.
