This is what they did last year but with cancer ribbons behind a mini husky head.
Would our recruiting be better if we were in Conference USA? Seriously doubt it.Cliff note to what Mora said but basically in response to the interviewer stating having Duke, BC etc on schedule going forward has to be positive and good for the program:
Recruits don't care about who we are playing.
Recruits don't care about facilities.
Recruits care about conferences which "Not being in a conference is ABSOLUTELY KILLING US"
Most of all recruits care about NIL... show them the money...if UConn doesn't have NIL money then essentially game over .. or in Mora's politically correct way of phrasing it "if we don't have NIL money then there's going to be some really tough days"
At the moment how is our future football outlook looking for non-BBall NIL $$ and Conference affiliation?
Just guessing that he was talking about being in a P4. Not sure ... but I think so ....Would our recruiting be better if we were in Conference USA? Seriously doubt it.
Hypothetical question, which conference would you rather see UConn in for football only: the MAC? Or the AAC?

Def the AAC, I remember getting bullied by the Cool UConn Basketball Twitter (TM) for saying this, but schools like South Florida, Memphis & Temple are solid semi regional rivals and are institutions that align with UConn more than some of our current Midwestern catholic conference mates.Hypothetical question, which conference would you rather see UConn in for football only: the MAC? But obviously both these options stink
Honestly, UConn football isn’t better than either of those conferences. For scheduling purposes, an arrangement with the MAC wouldn’t be terrible along with some MWC, ACC, occasional Big10, and ”local” (UMass, FCS) teams. The indy slate we have is good, but it may be slim pickings soon.Hypothetical question, which conference would you rather see UConn in for football only: the MAC? Or the AAC?
If we can’t get a P4 invite, that’s what I’d like to see DB take the lead on organizing. And to make it work for basketball too, you have to pull some good basketball brands into it (Gonzaga, SDSU, Memphis, VCU, Wichita St, Creighton?).The better brand AAC schools are fine, the new ones are awful. It seems like the only thing short of a P4 that would be desirable is an East/West best of the rest conference. Between the AAC and MWC, there’s plenty of decent brands. Unfortunately, even if that happened, we’d be required to bring our basketball teams.
That, and three awesome downfield strikes by TR.Turnovers will decide this one.
