With many games this week, it was great to see Trompour come alive. We will need a Hutchinson, a Smith, an Aasland, etc to have effective innings if we are to consistently win. At some point, Finn has to figure it out. If the above happens, we can still hit our goal of the NCAA tournament

.-.
Top 1st, after 2 out walks by Marshall and Polemeni, the UConn offense has a scoreless inning. No score.

Finn found his footing the last 2 batters. Minick surely is not Caleb Shpur in CF.

Top 2nd, Wachter and Menzel both get no out walks, Cancel follows with a no out single that drives in a run and puts runners on the corners. 1-0 UConn.

Jemison grounds into a double play on which a run scores. 2-0 UConn.

.-.
Bottom 2nd, Finn gives up a 1 out triple, the runner scores on a wild pitch. 2-1 UConn.

The runner steals 2B and advances to 3B on a wild pitch. Finn walks a batter with 1 out. Finn comes out of the game, Aasland takes the mound.

A wild pitch moves up both runners and brings in a run. Game tied at 2.

Aasland gives up a 2 out double driving in another run. 3-2 SCU.

The next batter gets a single that drives in a run. 4-2 SCU.

The runner is thrown out trying to steal 2B to end the inning.

Ugly inning. Minick has to catch a ball if it hits his glove. Changes the complexion of everything

I stayed up late last night, don't think I can do it tonight, not with these comedy of errors in the field. Even ones that won't go down as errors. Finn looks like he did his freshman year, no control. He has a mid 90s fastball yet seems to throw mostly off speed for which he doesn't have control of.

Am I reading box score correctly two dropped balls by Minnick and neither are an error? What are we doing? The ultimate hometown scoring
Yes, not sure how neither is an error, he just dropped both. Then Polemini totally misplayed an easy fly out that dropped and won't go down as error either

Yeah, the way this game is going and how slow it is moving from inning to inning, I'm wondering if I can last to the end of it. We will see.

Top 4th, Menzel draws a lead off walk, Menzel advances to 2B on a wild pitch and to 3B on a ground out for the 1st out. Menzel scores on an error on a pickoff attempt. Game tied at 4.

With 2 outs Rispoli is hit by a pitch.

Bottom 4th, Aasland gives up a 1 out single after getting his 4th strikeout in this game. Aasland comes out of the game, Shaw takes the mound.

Shaw gives up a 2 out single, and gets 2 strikeouts to end this inning with no runs coming in. Game tied at 4.
