Top 4th, Peters walks the leadoff batter. Peters comes out of the game, Shaw takes the mound.

Shaw gives up a single to the 1st batter he faces, followed by a walk to load the bases. A no out double drives in 2 runs, 9-5 UConn.

Good job by Peters overall. Against top competition will need to find a way to get the ball down. Rutgers did him a lot of favors popping up pitches that were up and out of the zone.

Shaw gives up a no out walk that loads the bases again. A no out grand slam ties the game at 9.

Shaw comes out of the game, Hutchinson takes the mound.
 
Bullpen continues to walk guys with a big lead. This time it burned them.

After getting the 1st out of the inning, Hutchinson walks a batter followed by a single. A double steal puts 2 runners in scoring position. A 1 out single drives in a run and puts runners on the corners. 10-9 Rutgers.

This is followed by a 1 out 3 run homer. 13-9 Rutgers.

After a fly out for the 2nd out, Hutchinson comes out of the game. Caruso takes the mound.

Not sure how u reverse an out call when there is no conclusive evidence he missed the tag. He probably missed it but can you say he definitely did?

Caruso gets a strikeout to finally end the inning. 13-9 Rutgers.
 
Bottom 4th, Daniels leads off with a solo homer, 13-10 Rutgers.

The next 3 UConn batters go down in order.

The big swipe tag wasn’t necessary. If he had just put the glove down it’s an easy out. It looked like he missed from what I could see.

Good job by Caruso, at least. I would have brought Afthim in while we still had the lead.
 
Bottom 5th, Padilla gets a leadoff walk. Biller follows with a no out single that puts runners on the corners. Biller is thrown out for the 1st out trying to steal 2B. Garbowski drives in a run with a sac fly for the 2nd out. 13-11 Rutgers.

The 1st batter that Finn faces gets a single that puts runners on the corners. Finn gets a ground out to end the inning with no runs coming in. 13-11 Rutgers.
 
Bottom 6th, after a leadoff single by Shpur, the UConn offense has a scoreless inning with 2 strikeouts. 13-11 Rutgers.
