Bottom 6th, Rutgers brings in a lefty pitcher. After 1 out single by Padilla, Broadhurst pinch hits for the lefty hitting Dalena. Broadhurst with a 2 run homer, 6-5 UConn.

Top 7th, after a leadoff bunt single, Coe comes out of the game, Fogell comes in to pitch.

With 1 out, Rutgers loads the bases on a single and a walk. Fogell comes out of the game, Brady Afthim comes in to pitch.

Afthim with a strikeout for the 2nd out, and a ground ball out ends the inning with no runs coming in. 6-5 UConn.

If I were a Rutgers fan, I would be furious at the conservative sac bunting that Rutgers has done all weekend. They're a good offensive team and they have nothing to lose. IMO, they should be playing to win, not to tie.

Don't like the move here. Afthiem has been effective. Leave him in. Bingo. I hate changing pitchers in the middle of an inning when the guy in there has been doing good. Bad move there.

Rutgers players out in the field were understandably in agony. They really did not deserve to get swept.

We should be ranked in most, if not all, top 25 polls. Great statement sweep vs a solid B10 team.
