Broadhurst was a bit pumped after that bomb!

Top 7th, after a leadoff bunt single, Coe comes out of the game, Fogell comes in to pitch.

With 1 out, Rutgers loads the bases on a single and a walk. Fogell comes out of the game, Brady Afthim comes in to pitch.

Afthim with a strikeout for the 2nd out, and a ground ball out ends the inning with no runs coming in. 6-5 UConn.

Top 8th, after a leadoff walk and a bunt pop out, Afthim coming out, Devin Kirby (he threw a ton of pitches Friday night) coming in to pitch.

If I were a Rutgers fan, I would be furious at the conservative sac bunting that Rutgers has done all weekend. They're a good offensive team and they have nothing to lose. IMO, they should be playing to win, not to tie.

Top 8th, a 1 out 2 run homer off of Kirby, 7-6 Rutgers going to the bottom of the inning.

Still time for a comeback but I won't be too disturbed if they lose this game, Rutgers has been excellent in all three phases.

Bottom 9th, Morton with a 1 out ground rule double. Smith is hit by a pitch putting 2 runners on base with 1 out, play gets reviewed. They call Smith out for the second out on the review.

Rutgers players out in the field were understandably in agony. They really did not deserve to get swept.

We should be ranked in most, if not all, top 25 polls. Great statement sweep vs a solid B10 team.
