This is a really big week for UConn. Northeastern RPI is 178, URI is 53, and ECU is 85. UConn must collect wins here.

5-0 to finish the year SHOULD get UConn off the bubble and in the CWS, regardless of AAC tourney, unless there are upsets in other conf. tourneys and teams that would not have otherwise made it take a spot
4-1 and UConn will need some wins in the AAC tourney to get an at-large bid.
3-2 or worse and UConn will need to win the AAC tourney to get in.

Once again, we will be fine IF we score. I do not understand our inability to score vs. awful midweek pitching.
 
So Chris Jones just said that Poulin will start tomorrow. Are you kidding me after all the pitches he just threw this weekend. Meanwhile Nepiarsky continues to rot on the bench. I just don't get it.

I was thinking the same thing. Poulin will be needed out of the bullpen against ECU. He must have thrown 50 or so this past weekend. Now 2 days later he'll be throwing about 80. It doesn't make sense to me.

Great offense so far. Wind is gusting in and they're all hitting the ball in the air.
 
Bullpen continues to hold it down. We are gonna need some walks / solid line drives because we seem incapable of game changing swings.
 
4 pitch leadoff walk. Let's go.

Edit: Lucky error and we are gifted two baserunners.

It's funny to me that we can't even get a bunt down. Small ball is our only way of manufacturing runs and we can't even do that.
 
And now run ourselves out of an inning. We don't have speed or power.

Because coach refuses to pitch the guys who should be pitching these midweek games. Oh and the offense stinks.
