UConn v. Memphis — Game Thread

The Huskies would be well-served to keep going at Memphis in the paint. They have no height and no depth. Foul trouble for the Tigers would be excellent
 
Slow start. Kids need to just relax and play.

The rest of the world getting the score on ESPN box score will not believe 10-6! I've got to smile over this.
 
Is it my imagination or does Pheesa look like a she is having trouble holding on to the ball, shooting bunnies, etc??

A little trouble getting started (no shoot around, early start?), but awake now. 13-10 at the first timeout.
 
Defense starting to show with Kia leading the way.
 
Gabby is still looking just a step slow and sluggish.

Well . . . no. She's working hard, digging, just not getting the bounces. Don't sweat it. She is solid and on any night can go off for 20. Takes all five. She's doing her part. Already a couple of rebounds, nice score at the break, muscling up on defense. Just watch her in the lane when off the ball.

Kia is just so "in" the game. Lightning pass on the last possession for a score. Then firing out on the FB after the steal.

And getting the foul!
 
Not surprised Gabby is sitting. This could be a migraine day.
