Top 7th, after a strikeout and a single, Mayer comes out of the game, freshman Sean Finn takes the mound. Finn retires the next 2 batters to end the game with the mercy rule. UConn wins 20-2.

What do u even say after a game like this. At least the St John’s series has some draw to it followed by KSU and BC. Some good matchups there. I can’t help but find it difficult to get excited for BE conference play and it reminds me of trying to look forward to the basketball team playing Tulsa or Tulane on a Sunday at 2pm while a part of the AAC. I know the conf is much improved, but these schools just don’t move the needle for baseball. I’m not trying to put the BE down.
