I like seeing Will Lucas at 3B for a midweek opponent, as the coaches like his talent and need to get him going. At least he has the RBI walk to show for it now. However, if they are going to play Lucas in these midweek games, it would make no sense at all to me to keep giving Thad Phillips starts at 3B during conference games if he doesn't play and get experience there in midweek games. But then, maybe the coaches have pulled the plug on Phillips starting at third.

Good to get some these deep staff guys like Mayock some pitching time in these midweek games that aren't close. Hopefully it still won't be close when he comes out. Still, he's someone to look for in the future.
