Was planning on being there but a late work issue got in the way. Missing the fun

Top 4th, Chudoba still on the mound with a 7-1 UConn lead.

Top 4th, Chudoba with a 1-2-3 inning, the wind might have kept a fly ball in the ballpark on one of the outs.

Bottom 4th, UConn offense with a scoreless inning. 7-1 Huskies.

Top 5th, Sam Favieri takes the mound for UConn.

1-2-3 inning for Favieri.

Chris Jones just said pitcher Brendan O'Donnell will be on the west coast trip.

Bottom 5th, Garbowski hits into a double play, but a run scores. 8-1 UConn. Huber had walked and stole 2B, moved to 3B on a Donlan single, and scored on the double play.

Top 6th, Favieri still on the mound, gives up a 1 out triple which drives in a run for Hartford to make it 8-2. Wild pitch makes it 8-3.

Bottom 6th, scoreless inning for UConn offense, Bushling had a lead off single, but was thrown out trying to steal.

Top 7th, Bobby McBride coming in to start the inning. Brady Afthim is warming up at the start the inning, probably in case McBride's control is off.

Top 7th, McBride with a scoreless inning, give up 1 hit, but no walks or free 90's of any kind. 8-3 UConn.

Bottom 7th, UConn goes down in order.

Top 8th, freshman Brady Afhtim comes in to pitch.

Bottom 8th, UConn goes down in order.

Freshman Braden Quinn coming in to pitch the 9th.

UConn pitchers gave up only 1 walk today, continuing the trend of generally having very good control this season. You just don't see this sort of control in college baseball all that often.

UConn pitching has given up 25 walks in 10 games this season. 11 of those walks were in the game UConn lost in the first weekend of the season.

That ballpark is BEAUTIFUL. I need to convince my kids to take a ride down to storrs for a game and some dairy barn ice cream.

None of the 6 UConn pitchers who got into the game today did not get into any games over this past weekend. I'm inclined to think the guys who pitched today are the guys you are going to see if UConn needs to ever use more relievers in a weekend series.
