Ok, 4 games left. Any freshmen you want to see w/o burning a year of eligibility? We saw Montgomery and Welliver early. Someone mentioned seeing Toy. More from them? Others you want to see?
I hope the UMass game is decided in our favor by the half and we get to see some serious snaps for Cole Welliver. I really want to see this kid for some extended time.

UMass got destroyed by Buffalo, who is not good after all.

-> "For us, nothing changes regardless of whether we win this game or not," UConn right offensive tackle Chase Lundt said. "The mission always stays the same. We're trying to go 1-0 each week. That's keeping the same mindset as to how we prepare throughout the course of the week in the film room, the weight room, on the practice field. Nothing ever changes. We have to keep that same approach every week. <-

-> "It's a get-back game," Faumuina-Brown said. "I remember they whooped our (butts). It left a bad taste in our mouths. They had a lot of answers to what we intended to do, and we didn't have the adjustments right. So we owe them one this week. I'm going to be super excited for it."<-

If World Series is over before Friday we will hopefully see alot more butt's in seats, if not then attendance will likely be down.

I've been wondering for weeks if that was the plan. Thanks, it makes a lot of sense.
I wondered that too. Then I realize whether Rosa plays five minutes in a game or 40 minutes in a game it's still counts as a game in terms of his ability to redshirt.

Is he over his four games?

Georgia St is weird. They've lost 4 in a row, not to any really good teams. But 1 of their 2 wins is......Vanderbilt

They've given up 100+ yards rushing to 1 player in 3 of those 4 losses. The game they didn't (ODU), the QB had 98. In 1 of those games, 2 guys had 100+ rushing yards. They are bottom 20 in the country for rushing yards/gm allowed so hopefully we can get our rushing game back on track

A bit scary to see that they have a pass rusher though... Hopefully we can pound the rock.

After seeing the weather for Friday evening I think whoever can run the ball the best will win. UConn has three good backs while Georgia St has a good back in Brock and Dukes.
UConn has to play a good game on defense and get solid blocking to win and be bowl eligible come Friday night

Go Huskies

I love how Mets fans have so little to cheer for with their team that year after year, they celebrate anyone who beats their rivals. Bobby Bonilla Day is fast approaching, friendo.

Bobby Bonilla day is now the standard. Dodgers have almost a billion on the books in deferred compensation.

So many of those numbers are attributable to upgraded linebacker play this season. Even with Mitchell, the past two years were brutal for LB play.

-> … UConn redshirt sophomore running back Cam Edwards of Norwalk needs 23 yards for 1,000 in his career. He had only 11 yards on eight carries last Saturday against Rice but his fourth-quarter touchdown helped UConn to a 17-10 win. ... Georgia State redshirt junior wide receiver Darius Bush played in five games over two seasons for UConn before transferring after playing in one game in 2022. The Savannah, Georgia native has one catch for a minus-six yards -- against Old Dominion on Oct. 12 -- on the season. ... UConn has eight players from Georgia on its roster: Rante Jones (Atlanta), Aaron Key (Decatur), Mel Brown (Stone Mountain), Jarvarius Sims (Decatur), Jayden McDonald (Suwanee), Isiah Davis (Fairburn), Valerian Agbaw (Powder Springs), and Jack Barton (Alpharetta). <-

Pretty good advertisement to Georgia recruits to leave the state for UConn!! Very fertile recruiting grounds. Looks like about 40% GA kids on roster, maybe slightly less.

Concerning the Portal era. When you see a kid on another team you covet(no this is not about Bundalo), are they approached directly or is there some sort of secret back channeling that goes on? Prior to this, that would have been tampering, not sure how the rules read now.
