Seems that Cooke is just recovering from his back injury which he had in the last game he was in, that might have something to do with him not getting the Sunday start. Coach Penders does refer to the injury in the postgame interview.

LOL. Although with an assist from two well pitched games.

If we want to get back in the race for the Big East regular season crown, we need to get the sweep on Sunday. Notwithstanding that I have no idea who is getting the rock to start.

I suspect that West will remain as a weekend starting pitcher in the coming weeks.
 
Bottom 2nd, Minick leads off with a single, he steals 2B with no outs and moves to 3B on a fly out for the 1st out. With 2 outs Padilla gets a walk, so runners are on the corners. MacArthur follows with a double driving in 2 runs, 2-0 UConn going to the next inning.
 
Top 3rd, West strikes out the 1st 2 batters again while having another 1-2-3 inning, West has 6 strikeouts so far in this game. 2-0 UConn. West has thrown 36 pitches in this game so far.
 
Bottom 3rd, the UConn offense has a scoreless inning after a 1 out walk by Shpur followed by a double play that ends the inning. 2-0 UConn.
 
Top 4th, after a runner gets on base due to a 1 out error by Minick, West gives up a walk. This is followed by a double that drives in a run, 2-1 UConn.

West retires the next 2 batters to end the inning with no more runs coming in. 2-1 UConn.

Bottom 5th, Rispoli gets a 1 out triple. Shpur follows with an RBI single, 4-1 UConn.

With 2 outs, Shpur steals 2B, Minick follows with a walk. Both runners steal a base putting both runners in scoring position. Dougherty drives in 2 runs with a single, Dougherty is thrown out trying to reach 2B for the final out of the inning. 6-1 UConn.
