Top 9th, Shaw gives up a walk to the leadoff batter followed by a no out single that puts runners on the corners, a run scores on a fielders choice sac bunt on which no out is recorded. 3-1 Creighton.
The runners both move up a base into scoring position on a ground out for the 2nd out, Shaw gets a strikeout to end the inning with no more runs coming in. 3-1 Creighton.
100% agree.Probably wouldn't hurt if we stopped making outs on the basepaths. Too many outs trying to steal, maybe we should cut back a little?
100% agree.
Why steal 3rd if you're already on 2nd. Why stretch a double into a triple (not this game). I wonder what our SB success rate is. Feels like below 50%.
honestly, thought it was worse.I just looked at the UConn baseball stat page on the UConn athletics website, they have stolen 38 bases in 55 attempts so far this season.

My sense is their timing makes it feel that way.honestly, thought it was worse.
Spot on. I know I've seen guys that would have scored if they just hadn't stolen a base, or ended an inning when you're already in scoring position. Sometimes, less is more.My sense is their timing makes it feel that way.
Bottom 3rd, Tirado leads off with a double, Rispoli follows with a no out double driving in a run. Game tied at 1.
