Top 6th, Caruso hits the lead off batter followed by a single that puts runners on the corners, and another no out single drives in a run. 16-4 BC.

Caruso comes out of the game, Tatar takes the mound.

Tatar walks the 1st batter he faces which loads the bases. A no out balk by Tatar moves all the runners up a base bringing in a run. 17-4 BC.

An error by Detwiler brings in 2 runs. 19-4 BC.

A double play finally ends the inning. 19-4 BC.

Bottom 6th, Detwiler and Rispoli both get no out walks, a 1 out double by Polemeni drives in a run. 19-5 BC.

A 1 out single by Marshall drives in a run and puts runners on the corners. 19-6 BC.

Menzel draws a 1 out walk that loads the bases. Wachter follows with a 1 out single driving in 2 runs putting runner on the corners. 19-8 BC.

A sac fly by Righi for the 2nd out drives in a run. 19-9 BC.

Righi moves to catcher, Belisario takes over in CF, Wachter moves to LF. Tatar comes out of the game, Finn takes the mound.

After a runner steals 3B, Finn gives up a 2 run homer. 23-9 BC.
 
Mercy Rule is in effect according to Chris Jones and company on the broadcast, so UConn will need to score at least 5 runs or else the game will end after the bottom of the 7th inning.

BC has the same issue with walks apparently. Disappointing to see Finn struggling so much. Putting up some fight at least

Dinner time is coming for me, so I will stop posting for some time possibly for the rest of the game. I was not expecting this game to take so long.

That was tough to watch. Hard to win when you commit five errors and can’t pitch a clean inning.
