This was a good trip overall. I think Penders wants to win the games obviously, but he also needs to figure out who can do what for later in the season. We saw some guys play that might get more at bats, some less at bats, some pitchers who will get run out more often and some that are midweek types.

I love our starting rotation. West, Suchy, Pudivar, Hale and maybe Aasland give us depth we haven't seen before. Meyers and Finn look set for the final 3 innings. Where do the lefties come into play out of the bullpen? Can another few guys step up in middle relief or if we have to go extra innings? After 8 games, there is a lot more clarity. Let's see what it looks like over the next few weeks.

Arizona is bad right now. They have young talent and you can see it will take them a while to get going. I hope they win out from here!!
