The fact that some of our starting transfers came through the community college route may speak to this. It’s baseball. The individual talent is not there.

Penders has tapped west coast JUCO kids with much success over the years. The fact that some of our starting transfers came through the community college route may speak to this.
Think it’s 22 new faces on a roster of 39?
Unfortunately it’s gonna take time to gel. Need to figure out who is gonna be the spark on this team. Hopefully Minick’s nerve issue in the elbow is not a season long issue.
This is a huge test for UConn baseball and Penders. We've given up nearly 50 runs in 4:games. MacDonald has got to be frustrated - is talent just not there? Can't remember such a horrific start! Can become a vicious cycle, especially in a game as mental as baseball. Frustrated coach —> nervous players —> poor play —> repeat cycle.
I looked up the 2004 season since it was mentioned on the ASU telecast. This is a huge test for UConn baseball and Penders. We've given up nearly 50 runs in 4:games. MacDonald has got to be frustrated - is talent just not there? Can't remember such a horrific start!
