UConn @ UVA Davenport Field (3/20/19 @ 4p on ACC Network Extra )

Kyler Fedko grounds into a double play to end the inning with no runs scored for UConn. 3-0 Huskies.

Bottom 3rd, Dunlop hits the lead off batter on a 3-2 count, then throws a double play ball. Gets the next batter on another ground out. Nice inning Colby, nice to know I can stay out of the car!

It’s funny the season is barely old and Dunlop like Prato before him forgot to pack his road grey jersey. What a difference not having an equipment manager to worry about the details

It seems every road trip someone on UConn is forgetting to bring a uniform. My wife is always commenting on it.

Offensive momentum is busted. Dunlop has pitched great so far, hopefully he can keep it going.

Bottom 4th, Dunlop gives up a 2 out solo homer to make it 3-1. First hit off of him.

Dunlop gets the next hitter to end the inning. Dunlop at 45 pitches. Even with the homer, no question that Dunlop will be getting another start next week. He's done just fine.

One thing Chris Jones said during my car ride home is that Dunlop did not have his usual velocity or command of his non fastball pitches during his first two starts. Jones said that the velocity is back with this start.

I assume they're going to try to get a 5th out of him. That would allow the 4 relievers the manager really trusts (Wurster, KJ, CJ and Wally) to get in one inning each, not keeping them out of Friday.

UConn goes down 1-2-3 for the second straight inning. Going to the bottom of the 5th, and yes, Dunlop is on the mound. 3-1 UConn.

Agree, get 5 from Dunlop, then I would go Johnson 6th, Wurster 7th, CJ 8th and hopefully Wallace to close it out.

Wurster warming in the pen. I'm thinking Penders takes out Dunlop with a nice taste of success in his mouth.

UConn batters go down in order in the 6th. Dunlop stays in for the bottom of the inning. Chris Jones thinks Wurster may be coming in for the third batter of the inning, a lefty swinger.

I know we couldn't go on scoring 10.5 runs a game forever, but it would be nice if they at least put stress on UVA and didn't leave it entirely to our pitchers.

Bottom 6th, Dunlop issues a one out walk, and in comes Wurster.

Gozzo throws out the base stealer to get the second out. Fly out for the third out. 3-1 UConn going to the top of the 7th.
