UConn/USF game thread

Thank God Purvis came to play. He's pretty much the only one. 13 points, 4 rebounds so far...

Ugh, he played like 8 mins against UK. He sucked in the tourney minus the 1 St Joe's play. Had like 8 points in the 5 games after.

I don't understand how this guy could play in a National Championship as a freshman against those Kentucky posts and hold his own and than look this bad 4 years later. It's simply not possible.

Purvis usually does catch fire in March. However let's see how we do if we advance. One game at a time.

Mad cow disease? Seems unsteady on his feet.

Remember when Amida scored 40 points in a game?
OMG. Yes. Over the top lobs and dunks. We are the AAC.

How is he a miracle worker? And do you think maybe the 3,000 in the building is a result of what he has given us. He is on the razors edge of being a bball Diaco.
Do you think the recruits we get are coming here for the opportunity to play the likes of USF, Tulane and Tulsa in front of a half-filled building? Who could recruit better players given our situation?

I'd be happy for Amida if he got that lucky.

Poor Amida would just fumble them and then trip over his own feet.

Much better supporting cast on that team. He's not a team leader. Never was. I don't know how people have expected him to be one. He blocks shots but he's not a scorer unless it's an alley-oop dunk.

I don't think I've seen anyone lose a dribble off their foot since Hoosiers.

We've had a miserable first half and we are up by double digits. Good situation to have...

Adams must be on some good drugs. His ankle has no strength or stability.

Enoch's FT strike looks so much better.

Is this a fail on coaches not emphasizing FT's or lack of big man coach developing players?

Gotta say, KO is coaching a smart game. Lots of pt for Enoch AND Brimah, and is strategically resting his backcourt players.

Yeah he has to. It's clear that Jalen isn't healthy yet. That doesn't bode well for a deep run in this tourney, but maybe we'll see others step up...

We're 17 of 18 from the stripe today. It's not like we ignore that part of our game...

I love KO and generally think he's a better Xs & Os guy than given credit for, but we cannot say the guy who called 4 different Brimah post-ups is "coaching a smart game."

He's doing well managing/staggering minutes. But let's not go overboard.

According to some on this board UCon 's coaches are poor at teaching FT.

Wow, just saw the Nwestern game, up 37-9 on Rutgers. I thought that would be the score of this game after Uconn took a 9-0 lead to start the game. I can live with a 13 point lead though.

Welp, USF is atrocious but we're up 13. Can't be too mad at that. Since we stink too.
