So if two get in from the American, it would seem that those two slots come from Tulane, UConn and ECU right? Barring an upset in the tournament. UConn is hot right now, so I like our chances.

I don't. We need to sweep usf and finish 2nd in the conference tournament to have a chance.

Hill continues to come up big. Clutch 2 out hit to bring in 2. Up 2-0 top of the 4th.

I've been very critical of Aaron so far, but he has pulled a 180. He's been the co-mvp with duffin the last 2 weeks. Has been in the center of almost every big inning.

Cate gives up hits to the first two batters in the 4th but get's out of it with no runs and on only 8 pitches. Not bad.

I've said it before, but while at UConn Aaron Hill has always hit well in the summer collegiate leagues, and Penders in preseason interviews has had terrific things to say about how he plays in fall ball. Then the regular college season starts and the last two years Hill starts the season in big slumps. Hopefully his hitting is finally getting turned around to how he can really perform.

Still 2 0, we have gotten plenty of traffic vs a pretty good pitcher but have struggled to score. Going to the bottom of the 5th

Houston just scored in the bottom of the 9th to tie up Tulane.

Last night and today Chris Jones has been talking periodically about how weak the USF bullpen is. Last night the UConn offense really got rolling once the USF starter came out, we'll see what happens when today's starter tires.

Top of 6th inning, Willy Yahn double drives in a run. 3-0 UConn going into the bottom of the inning.

Looking at the box score again just about everyone contributing.

Tim Cate is back in great pitching form today. 3 hits, 8 strikeouts, no walks through 6 innings.

Good to see Cate back on track. We need him to pitch well to make a run in the playoffs.

Got to love the fact that the bottom of this lineup continues to get it done. Toppa with 3 hits now.

Gnesda is killing us today. The freshman have all been completely dominant so far, hopefully Cate has another clean inning in him.

Ok they are hitting Cate now, I would like to see the bullpen out there asap as good as Cate has been.

1 on, 2 outs, 4 1 uconn in the bottom of the 7th. Polonia coming in.

3 pitches to strike out the batter. Like to see that from Polonia given his ability to struggle with control at times.

Chris Jones says Willy Yahn will be playing for Bourne of the Cape Cod League this summer.

They really have been clutch with 2 outs during this stretch.

Polonia is greeted by a lead off homer in the 8th, Ruotolo is coming in to pitch.

Yikes, they are rallying. 5 3, but we got out of the 8th and the bottom of their order is coming up next inning.

Insurance would be nice.

Another double by Yahn drives in two more runs in the top of the 9th to make it 7-3 UConn.

RPI is up to 60 by the way. I think we need to go for the sweep tomorrow assuming we hold on here.
