Chris Winkel now has 4 triples on the year, after none last season. He also has 12 doubles, which is one more than last season. In a season that is until now been one of decline for him, those two power categories are the two offensive areas where he is better than last year.
 
Thad Phillips pinched hit for Moriarty in the top of the 8th, and now Phillips is at 3B. Not the usual path for this team, but Moriarty does have a throwing error today.

Still not sure what happened to Moriarity's defense this year.
