Bottom 3rd, Stefanoni puts down the side in order. Stefanoni with 3 strikeouts so far. 3-0 UConn.
 
Enzo works so damn fast and efficient to slow him down ump has decided to take away the corner calls…..
 
Bottom 4th, UNF with back to back doubles to lead off the inning, bringing in a run to make it 3-1. Sac fly makes it 3-2 going to the top of the 5th.

Top 5th, Bushling leads off with his second double of the game. UConn strands 2 runners on base. 3-2 UConn.
 
Bottom 5th, Stefanoni with a 1-2-3 inning on three ground outs. He is at 79 pitches.
 
Chris brown doing all he can to work himself out of a starting job. Can’t get a simple bunt down, three strikeouts against a guy who people hit 400 against last year forget his defense at the moment.
 
Simmons having a great game. I love him at the #9 slot but he might be promoted soon.
 
Clutch hitting has not been good. Really needed Brown to get that bunt down.

Chris Brown has struck out three times so far this game. safe to say he is not out of his offensive slump. He is not getting any walks to alleviate the slump either, unlike Smith and Huber. Have to hope his defense continues to pick up, or Padilla might be getting more playing time.

Considering both Simmons and Bushling are lefty hitters, I doubt Penders will move Simmons to the top of the order. I would have him hitting after Ferrer at this point.
 
Top 7th, Casey Dana with a 2 out double, but that is it for the UConn offense that inning. You just can't depend on 2 out rallies on a consistent basis to produce runs. 3-2 UConn.
 
Bottom 7th, UNF with a 2 out rally that works, a double drives in a run to tie the game at 3. Freshman Jack Sullivan coming in to relieve Chudoba with 2 outs and a runner at 2B.

Sullivan gets the final out of the inning on a line out to CF. On to the top of the 8th.

By the way, UConn pitchers haven't walked anyone yet today. Actually no walks by anyone in this game.
 
Sully with a strong performance! I'd go with Willis for multiple innings starting with the 9th, as he is fresh. Getting a run here would be nice.
 
Another situation with runners on 1st and 2nd and 2 outs. We've stranded 9 already. Let's get it Dana.
