Top 4th, Padilla with 1 out walk, so in his first game as a Husky he has already been on base twice so far. UConn strands 2 runners on base. 2-0 UConn.

Huber flashing a glove of his own. Gallagher moving very fast.

Gallagher still has some control issues (although he got robbed of a strikeout vs the guy he walked on a nasty breaking ball) but his stuff is nasty.

About halfway through the game after playing an hour. Loving it.

2 on , no out for us. Their new pitcher isn't throwing strikes. Let's put up insurance runs.

It was alluded to in the season preview video but Padilla is as good as advertised. Dude can flat out play

An infield error at first base makes it 7-0. Smith steals home to make it 8-0 when the throw goes to 2B when Bushling steals 2B.

Runner just barely made it but Padilla just made a Derek Jeter throw from short.

2 out, 1 on. Pat continues to be quick and efficient.

Bottom 5th, Gallagher strands 2 runners on base. 8-0 UConn. Gallagher with 4 walks and 6 strikeouts, and also allowed an infield single this inning for the first hit off of him this game. He is at 73 pitches. Overall, he has done quite well today after the nightmare of his start last weekend.

Gallagher fired in the strikes that inning. He can probably give us one more but I'd selfishly like to see some young guys on the mound vs. a pretty tepid offense in UNF.

It wouldn't bother me to see young pitchers get a chance in this game given the score. At the same time I like to see the starters get used to going into the 7th inning.
