Two singles are wasted by a double play and pop out. Offense continues to struggle relative to where they were a couple weeks ago.
 
Bottom 1st, after a leadoff single, after 2 outs, Ellisen gives up a single that drives in a run, 1-0 UNCG.

With 2 outs, the runner at 1B steals 2B. An inside the park home run brings in 2 more runs, 3-0 UNCG.
 
Camera work today leaves a bit to be desired…

Belisario hit that fence hard…
 
Top 3rd, Garbowski leads off with a single, this is followed by a double play. UConn offense has a scoreless inning. 3-0 UNCG.

Top 4th, after a 1 out single by Minick, the UConn offense has a scoreless inning. 4-0 UNCG.
 
Bottom 4th, Ellisen has a scoreless inning after the leadoff hitter reaches base on a wild pitch on a strikeout, the runner is picked off. Ellison faces the minimum 3 batters. 4-0 UNCG.

For the most part, I find the volume for Chris Jones on MIXLR to be fine on my computer. It does go down on occasion, but not for long.
 
Top 5th, a 1 out walk for Dougherty, he moves to 2B on a balk. A 1 out Garbowski single puts runners on the corners. A Shpur fielders choice ground out gets the runner out trying to reach 2B, but a run scores. 4-1 UNCG.

Shpur steals 2B, but he is left on base. 4-1 UNCG.

After a fielders choice ground out, Caruso gives up a 2 out walk. Caruso comes out of the game with 2 runners on base. Finn takes the mound.

Finn gets a pop out for the 3rd out to end the inning with no runs coming in. 4-1 UNCG.

Top 6th, Root leads off with a walk, he scores on a no out double by Minick, 4-2 UNCG.

Biller pinch hits for Padilla. Minick is left on 2B. 4-2 UNCG.

Belisario moves to 2B, and Biller takes over in RF.

Top 7th, the lead off batter Dougherty reaches 2B on an error. Tirado pinch hits for Garbowski. Tirado gets a no out rbi double, 4-3 UNCG.

Daniels pinch runs for Tirado (Lane will no doubt take over at the catcher spot). Daniels moves to 3B on an error on a pick off. Shpur gets a walk to put runners on the corners with no outs. Shpur steals 2B. With 1 out Root drives in 2 runs with a single, 5-4 UConn.

With 2 outs, MacArthur is hit by a pitch. Biller follows with a single driving in a run, 6-4 UConn, with runners on the corners.

Biller steals 2B, but that is it for the UConn offense this inning.

Bottom 7th, as expected, Lane takes over at catcher.

Finn strikes out the 1st 2 batters, he has 5 strikeouts in a row. After a 2 out single and a walk, Finn comes out of the game. Hutchinson takes the mound.

Hutchinson gets a fly out for the final out to get out of the inning with no runs coming in, 6-4 UConn.

Top 9th, Rispoli leads off with a single, but he is thrown out for the 1st out trying to steal 2B. Root gets a 1 out single for his 3rd hit of the game. The UConn offense has a scoreless inning. 6-4 UConn.
