Both Holmes and Dandeneau having a hard time on the mound this inning. Score is now 9-7 UConn going to the top of the 6th.
 
UConn gave almost all of it back. 9-7, Top of 6.
 
UConn goes down 1-2-3 in the top of the 6th. Jake Wallace coming in to pitch.
 
Ump's strike zone shrunk that inning. Good job by Wallace to overcome that.

Top 7th, Stefanski single drives in Feldstein to make it 10-7 UConn. Runners on 1B and 2B, one out with a pitching change for UMass Lowell.
 
Winkel strikes out, but reaches on a wild pitch. Run scores. 11-7 UConn.
 
Woodworth single drives in two more runs to make it 13-7. Maybe we will see Rajkowski today.
 
Four more in for UConn, who are still batting with 2 down, man on 1st. I am getting in my car so no more updates from me until I get home. The game will probably be over by then. Hopefully it's academic right now, but nothing surprises me at this point.

7th inning, Wallace comes up with an easy 1-2-3 frame. I'd like to see Rajkowski in for the bottom of the 8th.
 
Same. Some more insurance / amenities would be nice, too.

Wallace looked great both innings.
 
With Chris talking about RPI, in my opinion this coming series versus Cincinnati is the scariest until ECU. With the pitching depleted and Cincinnati with a lower RPI, losing the series could do some series damage.

We add 1 in the top of the 8th. I didn't like our approach there, though...we swung at ball 4 multiple times.

UMass Lowell's catcher has had a brutal game.

The way Chris Jones was talking, it sounds like no Cate again this weekend. Sounds like he might be back the following weekend.

Well that sucks. Going to have to hope that we can somehow pull out 2 of 3. Maybe Dunlop can surprise.

Dunlop did fine against Wichita State, and they are a very good hitting team. Sounds like Chase Gardner might be able to pitch over the weekend, but that is not definite.
