Bottom 7th, Peterson gives up his first walk of the game (in addition to 2 hit by pitches) to the leadoff batter. Peterson then strikes out 2 batters, and hits the next one, his third of the game. It's bullpen time, as Jack Sullivan is coming in to pitch. Sullivan with a walk to load the bases. A single brings in 2 runs to make it 7-5. A strikeout ends the inning.

4-2 on our west coast swing so far. I think most of us would have taken 5-3 before this trip started and splitting with this team should not be that difficult.

I don't know about that, but at the very least it would seem we will be seeing a lot more of Garrett Coe in important innings late in games out of the bullpen.

It's not often that I have seen Coach Penders take out his closer when the game is still in a save situation, no matter how badly that closer is doing. Usually with Coach Penders the closer is in until the game is over.
