UConn @ Tulane (Thurs. 5/16 @ 7:30p ET, Fri. 5/17 @ 7:30p ET & Sat. 5/18 @ 2p ET)

4-1 UConn going to the bottom of the 5th, Kersten starts the inning.

Bottom 5th, a two out double with nobody on means the end of the night for Kersten. Karl Johnson coming in to pitch. Kersten threw 105 pitches, which I suspect might be the most he has thrown all season. 4-1 UConn.

.-.
Karl would be so much more lethal if he didn't constantly throw first pitch balls.

Johnson getting hit after falling behind in counts. Runners on the corners with 2 out, Dunlop is warming up. 4-2 UConn.

.-.
Double off the wall ties the game at 4. Dunlop coming into the game.

Was worried about this after Penders used so many clutch bullpen arms yesterday.

.-.
I still agree with the strategy to seal off that win. Karl just did not get it done today.

Agree... Karl just wilted there. Kersten was @ 105 pitches. Damned either way.

We're back to ground zero heading to the 6th.

Johnson has had some very good games, and some not so good ones as well. Tonight he just didn't have it, and Tulane is not the type of team you want to fall behind in counts.

Don't have to worry about Moriarty for the rest of this game. Langer just pinched hit for him and got a one out single.

.-.
Woodworth just got hit by a pitch, so UConn has the bases loaded with 1 out with Pat Winkel up. Tulane making a pitching change. 5-4 UConn.

Worked last night... it's going back up!
