I think this Uconn team will be favored to win only three games this year. There is almost no talent and terrible execution/coaching. they might be able to beat memphis and temple and maybe buffalo. maybe. This is likely the worst uconn team of the Rent era.

Can't believe i wasted $$ on this.

I owe Randy Edsall an apology. I can't believe I ever complained about anything. I'll take those years back in a heart beat.

Let's also say that Towson is far better than our friends UMASS that began last year. But, without a guy that can really carry the ball (and use McCombs as a change), we aren't going to get Davis an optimum passing game. Whitmer threw good.

The Defense? Missing guys that made last year special ... and that led to 5-7. We have some ability. It's hard to forecast many wins after what we just saw.
 
Why is no one going after TJ Weist...when things were hopefuly it was "In TJ we trust" and now that its bad its all of the sudden PP's fault?

Are we witnessing the Husky equivalent of Mutiny on the Bounty perhaps?
 
I think we've narrowed down what the problem is. Deleone is still coaching! Wonder why our O line sucks? Deleone is their coach.

I dont know how many of u r at game but deleone is way 2 close to chain of command on play call that screen had
his name written all over it btw it took way too long 2 get play in after 4th down stop
 
I'll hold off on calling for PP's head if they toss Deleone into the gutter he belongs in.
 
Warde hired TJ. the lack of game and clock management by the offense is staggeringly bad and that's on him.

there is nothing to be optimistic about.

We are have yet to make a D play in their backfield. We are losing the line of scrimmage on both side. No way we win this unless we start pushing them around or we get a lucky break.
 
As for the defense, there were times when the defense wasn't ready/set. It almost seems that PP is the defensive coordinator and Hughes is just a figurehead.
 
OLine is not very good. On the LM play the C or G was 1vs1 with the safety and completely whiffed on the block

Pass protection looks good tonight except for last play. Offense will be fine. Defense worries me. Did anyone else see Boland at DE? Saw number 91. which is Boland according to program.
 
Halftime observations for me are as follows:
- ESPN3 sucks - I keep getting paused, rewound back and then fast forwarded without me pressing anything - sound cuts in and out and video goes from sharp to blurry as hell for no reason (plenty of broadband here as I am watching from work)
- Our OL is still offensively challenged
- Whitmer looks a lot like he did last year - makes some good plays and then wipes it out with one really dumb one
- Offensive play calling started out pretty good in my opinion but was really poor in the second quarter, especially at the end of the half
- Defensively Obi made a nice INT but has also taken some bad angles to get beaten by the Towson RB - middle of the line looks OK but the LB's aren't controlling the cutbacks
- KO return has been pathetic
- Only bright spot has been at WR with Davis and Phillips
 
Towson gets the ball to start the half too.

We will be in real trouble if they get another TD.

I am looking at where we are, and the coaching is/has been terrible. What are you trying to say? That because this is CT we shouldn't expect our team to improve?

Because the same two grumpy old guys are standing next to each other on the sideline.

Look how good Ambrose is without Edsall screwing with everything on him.
