Once again, over aggressive at the plate. This new pitcher was all over the place and Fedko swings and misses on two pitches way out of strike zone.

Unreal, now we can't throw strikes. 3 walks in the inning. What should have been a 4 or 5 run lead is now looking like it is going to be a deficit.
 
Gardner walks in a run to tie the game at two, walks a lefty batter.
 
Pathetic! One team patient at the plate willing to take walks and the other swings at pitches out of the strike zone.
 
Gardner faces the lefty, then comes out, Karl Johnson heading to the mound.

Funny, Chris Jones talking about UConn coming up with clutch hits. I'd be satisfied if they just got some hits period.
 
Top 4th, Moriarty on base for the second time today with a single. Two runners on, 1 out, with the top of the order with Nucerino up.
 
Nucerino may be coming back down to earth, pops out for the 2nd out.

Lucas pinch ran for Gozzo, so he is out of the game with no scoring in the 4th for UConn.
 
Nucerino and Prato both swing at the first pitch and make outs. Have to do the research some day and see what our averages are on first pitch contact. My guess is it is very low. I just don't understand it. Both were facing that pitcher for the first time.
 
Chris Jones sounds surprised to see Chris Winkel choking up on the bat. Still strikes out to end the inning.
