Unless they start paying students to attend football games, i'm not sure its going to make that much difference.

Thanking AD the DB for giving something to the students that pay at least $500 in a fee and say it's free is head scratching
This guy has to get out of UConn and return to the bowels of the SEC
What does this have to do with Andre, and why are you calling him a bag?

I'd almost prefer them to be some nominal amount like $5 to at least motivate people to go if they're purchased tickets.

The biggest problem was last year they struggled to sell season tickets before the season started. After the season started they started giving students free tickets. Which was a slap in the face to the students who paid

I don't think they're going to be doing tickets though. If they were smart it'd just be first come first serve to all students until all 3 sections of student tickets are full.
I know at other schools you claim them online and then you use your ID to get in. Wonder if that’s what they will do.

For football at least hopefully its just show your id you can go in. Hopefully at least then some of the tailgate only crowd will wander in if it takes no planning ahead.

Should increase attendance but won't help the $40M athletic dept deficit.

Excited to hear the excuses for the lack of student attendance next year.

The goal, I’d assume, is more so to make the next generation of season ticket holders. Get them hooked on games now and turn them into paying customers for the next 50 years.

BOOM!

I've been saying this for years. Finally, someone at UConn was smart enough to see the way forward. And as has already been mentioned, the students pay enough already...
