A specialist who isn't good at his specialty, a deadly combination.
Jeremy Lamb played about 10 seasons in the NBA hardly shooting above 35% from 3 in most of them.

If only Hawkins was taught how to do more things outside of shooting smh

I know he had back issues and that can really affect the shot and overall play. Having said that, he really needs to make a positive imprint this season.

Hawk had one of the shortest media day interviews for the Pelicans and there's zero buzz for him from their media, he's gotta make something shake this season, it's getting dark
Troy Weaver loves DMV guys, so Hawk might be good regardless. Of course, he might be better off in another organization. They’re kind of a mess.

The Pelicans shipped out CJ McCollum and his replacement Dejounte Murray will be out injured for the first 3ish months of the season at least

Maybe the Pelicans go small with a Fears/Poole backcourt. Maybe they go big with Poole/Trey Murphy/Herb Jones. Regardless, Hawkins should have plenty of opportunities to show out early in the season. It's up to him to produce

Overall, he's exclusively a shooter that isn't consistently making shots. The flashes are there. He scored 20+ in at least one game every month last year and was #6 in PPG on the team (#5 in total points). If he can become more consistent, he'll stick around
