UConn starting to get respect.

How many games have we played at home this year which you think was played in cold weather? Our first game this year was on August 30th. The high that day was 98 degrees. The day of the game against Duke, the high was 56. This narrative that we are a cold weather team is bogus.

Huh? We are definitely a cold weather team. The weather doesn’t matter much in college football, but that doesn’t change the fact we’re a cold weather school. The only places that really get some weather for the college football season on a regular basis are high elevation schools out west. The Midwest and Northeast schools get a snow game now and then. We’ve had them. We definitely get a raw and uncomfortable game or two most years. November games are usually pretty unpleasant. My wife thinks any game after Mid-October is a cold weather game up there.

Frankly, I was stunned with the turnout. It was disappointing the week before. It wasn't just papering the house, either.
