This isn’t the AAC. We dug ourselves into too deep of a hole to be satisfied by a 2-1 result against a bad St. John’s team that has hemorrhaged runs all year.

Odd call...it looked the other way around to me off the one look we had. Bullet Bob was sure the runner on second had gone out of the base path to avoid the tag.

Pat Gallagher was outstanding in the Huskies’ 6-0 win in Game 2 of the doubleheader. The freshman struck out 8 over 7 shutout innings, allowing just 2 hits. Chris Winkel also became the 21st Husky to reach 200 career hits. UConn’s 6-3 in BE, has taken 2 of 3 in this series.

The St. John's announcers during the game announced the starters for tomorrow. They said Simeone for UConn. How many chances can a guy be given? I would much rather have a staff day. The bullpen is mostly fresh. I just don't get it. Shoot, at this point I would take a Will Lucas starting over Simeone. It amazes me how some guys never quit reach potential and yet Pender's will give them every chance in the world, yet other guys who perform on the field when given chance seem to fall into his doghouse and never do see the field. Now having said that, I don't know the dynamics off the field, but it would sure seem like they must have doesn't something significant to not snuff the field. Now I say, Simeone, make me eat my words tomorrow.
