Only a couple sports on the ticket today.
Women’s Volleyball: The Huskies wrapped up their non-conference season with a 3-1 win over Fordham. The Rams won the first set 25-23, but the Huskies won the next three, 25-19, 25-18, and 25-20. Additionally, Mattison Quayle tied a career high with 21 kills. The Huskies went 10-5 in non Big East games and are now 10-10 overall. They will continue their Big East schedule Saturday at 7:00 PM against St. John’s.
Men’s Soccer: Due to potential inclement weather, the game vs. Providence today has been moved up to 4:00 PM. The last time Providence came to Morrone Stadium was in the 2009 Big East Tournament, when they knocked us out. We’ll be looking to avenge that here today. The game will still be on WHUS and All-Access. Update 5:37 PM - Huskies lead 2-0 with just under 20 minutes to go. Shutout #10 still going. Update 5:41 PM - Goal Providence. 2-1. We're still winning and should take this contest, but that's the first goal we've allowed since September 4th against Cal. And the groans from Juho's nearly making it 3-1 drown out the announcing of the scorer. Poor irony. We've had four game times changed on us this year. In three of those games, we have allowed a goal (Michigan State, Cal, and Providence, but not St. Francis). In games which were played as scheduled, we have not allowed a single goal.

Mamadou scored the second goal. A LASER, upper 90, from 25-30 yards out, left foot.
This game could have easily been 4-1, but also 2-2. Andrew Jean-Baptise saved the game, (literally) when a cross went over the arms of the outstretched Andre Blake, and a Friar headed the ball towards goal. At the last second "DJB" was able to somehow get to the ball in the air and boot it out before it crossed the line.
